Blogging tips and WordPress 3.9 Update
Sorry, I only have two articles from around the web today. Must be a quiet day! These two articles are about blogging and WordPress.
5 “Five-Minute or Less” Blogging Tips That Yield Big Results. I’m Using Tip #1 in This Title – by Smart Passive Income.
There are many things that you can do when you write and publish a blog post that will firstly get people to visit your post, and then read it fully. On top of this there is the interaction and sharing, and as mentioned previously, the subscribing to your email list. There is a great post by Pat Flynn at Smart Passive Income that goes in to more detail about this. Topics cover headlines, article structure, opt-in forms, links and more. If you’d like to know more check out the full post.

6+ Cool Features in WordPress 3.9 That Make Life Easier – By WPMUDEV
WordPress is my content management system (CMS) of choice, or in simpler terms it’s what I and may others use to build their websites. Updates come about relatively frequently, either to address potential security concerns, or to add new and exciting features. The latest release (albeit in beta – so we may not see it just yet) is WordPress version 3.9.
A write up by WPMUDEV talks about what you can expect from the new WordPress 3.9 update, and includes things like a cleaner post editor window, drag-and-drop images directly into the post editor (i.e. bypassing the ‘add media’ button), live widget previews and a few more. Check out WPMUDEV’s post for more details about WordPress 3.9.
